We the Founders Committee welcome you to the Columbia River Concours d'Elegance and Car Show web site. The Concours starts at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, the awards ceremony starts at 2:30 p.m. And the show concludes at 4:00 p.m.

Just what is a Concours d’Elegance?

In the 1700s and 1800s the wealthy residents of Paris would ride up and down the Champs Elysees showing off their new elegant coaches. This parade became known as the Parade of Elegance which is the English translation of Concours d’Elegance. As time progressed and the automobile began to replace the coach and the custom coach builders of the time started producing elegant works of automotive art. The Parade became motorized and the Concours d’Elegance, as we know it today, was born.

The Concours is not a speed event, but one of elegance and excellence. Vehicles are judged for their historical accuracy, their technical merit, elegance and style. And the best receive the recognition and awards they deserve. Thousands of enthusiasts will be on hand to enjoy and admire these vehicles as well as the companionship of others who share their passion.
